Sal Burd
Partner and Certified Business Transition Expert™ at B2B CFO®

Sal brings 28 years of experience in accounting, risk and treasury management, strategy development and implementation in many industries. His extensive knowledge and operating experience position him to quickly assess the needs of a business, develop a plan of action and implement required improvements. Sal's work ethic combined with strong mentoring and hands off managerial style, allows client's personnel to quickly capture the essence of the knowledge required to propel the organization to the next levels.

After obtaining his accounting degree from University of Illinois, Sal started his professional career in public accounting, servicing audit and tax clients of the firm in manufacturing, service, financial and real estate industries. After moving into industry, Sal filled Controller and Treasurers roles, worked as a CFO for both private and publicly held companies in heavy industrial machinery, medical device manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, high-tech engineering and electronics recycling companies. He was involved in numerous acquisitions and startups, lead public company through bankruptcy restructuring and venture funding. In his latest position as a Director of International Operations, Sal has mentored and developed employees, worked global ERP design and implementation, managed an international subsidiary, reduced corporate risk exposure and structured tax strategies for a multinational organization.

Sal is Certified Public Accountant, registered in Illinois, and a member of both American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and an Illinois CPA Society. He earned his MBA in Finance, Management and Organizational Behavior from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Sal and his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth, live the in the northern suburbs of Chicago. He is an avid reader, loves sports, exercise and golf.

 

Jeremy Leval
Partner and Director of Product at Parknav

Jeremy Leval is a Partner and the Director of Product at Parknav (parknav.com). Since joining the company in 2013, he has been fundamental in scaling the company from having service coverage in just 2 cities with 3 employees, to covering 240 cities with over 50 employees and contractors located around the world. Currently at Parknav, Jeremy is involved in data acquisition, product development, operations, marketing and human resources. Prior to Parknav, Jeremy received his MBA with an emphasis on Corporate Strategy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013 as well as his Bachelor of Science Degree in International, Resource and Consumer Economics also from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. Jeremy has taken part in various startups since he was 12 years old and has a background in corporate management and management consulting where he focused on the retail, banking, aeronautics and infrastructure sectors.

 

Lyndsey Maddox
Director of Business Development, Digital Third Coast Internet Marketing, Inc.

Lyndsey Maddox is the Director of Business Development at Digital Third Coast.  With 15+ years in sales and account management, Lyndsey manages new client and partner relationships, initial strategy recommendations, and overall client communication and management. Lyndsey has crafted marketing plans across multiple industries, utilizing research and competitive analysis to launch strategies that drive results.  

 

Brian Bar
Founder and CEO of Victory Lap

Brian Bar is the Founder and CEO of Victory Lap, a Chicago based sales career readiness platform and talent marketplace. In prior roles, Mr. Bar is known for his experience in hiring and managing fast growing sales teams. He has hired and managed over 500 direct reports during his time at Groupon, which was a technology sales mecca in Chicago as it grew for 100 to 10,000 employees in several years. He is responsible for creating, designing, and leading the Sales Onboarding department, where over 750 sales representatives have used this platform to achieve success in their career.

In other leadership roles, he was Vice President of Sales and led the national growth strategy for ThinkCERCA, a venture backed education technology company in Chicago shortly after their Series A round. Companies large and small across the country have relied on his expertise to drive revenue growth for their organizations and properly invest in their most important asset, people.

 

Vitaliy Kuznetsov
Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Discover World Ventures   

Vitaliy is a co-founder and CPO of Discover World Ventures, building a platform for leisure travelers for exploring and learning worldwide destinations and creating archive of travel adventures. Vitaliy recently moved back to Chicago from Bay Area, CA, where he was a co-founder and VP Product for one of the leading e-commerce platforms for photographers, Zenfolio. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Vitaliy worked for Microsoft Corporation, launching Live Mail service and shipping several versions of Mac Office. He also worked in technical and consulting roles, designing and implementing applications in healthcare, automotive, finance, legal, HR, publishing, and other industries. Vitaliy holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois in Chicago and an MBA degree from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Paul is one of the founders and principals of FKS Wealth Management Group, which works exclusively with successful families, business owners, young professionals and their advisors. Paul began his career as a Financial Advisor in 1997 after successfully selling his Corporate Catering business. He holds bachelor's degree in economics from University of Illinois, in Chicago and MBA in finance from DeVry University Keller Graduate School of Management. He completed his Certified Financial Planner certification at Northwestern University after submitting to the rigorous CFP certification process that includes a demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements.


Dexter Reese
Financial Advisor with the FKS Wealth Management Group at UBS Financial Services

Dexter is a partner on the FKS Wealth Management Group, which works exclusively with successful families, business owners, young professionals and their advisors. He has been a member of the team since 2015, following a brief career in professional golf.  Dexter holds a bachelor's degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois and is currently attaining his MBA in finance from DePaul University's Kellstadt School of Business.
