Ryan Lee
Real Estate Broker @properties

Ryan Lee jumped into real estate right after walking on stage at Michigan State University in 2006, starting with Keller Williams River North office. He learned the city quickly specializing in rentals and was able to partner up with a seasoned agent and work with buyers and sellers early in his career. In 2009 he and his partner left for Exit All Pro Realty, but right as the market was tanking, they began to sell short sales and bank owned properties to survive. Ryan really feels that fighting for any deal possible helped mold him to be the agent he is today: a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer since 2012, and a top 1% of all Chicago brokers in 2016. In late 2014, Ryan and his newly hired team member Joey Tanzillo left Exit Realty to join @properties, Chicago's #1 brokerage, and have loved every minute of it. Today, Ryan specializes in listing properties, working with buyers, and also investors as his team sold over 25 million dollars in 2016. Real Estate to him is not a job; it's a passion for helping people with the biggest purchases and sales of their lives. His favorite part of the job is creating the lifelong friendships, and he completely loves what he does.

A lifelong Cubs fan, Ryan is a sports junkie with a passion for Illinois basketball, Chicago sports, and his Michigan State Spartans. In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife Katina, trying new restaurants, running on the lake, and, when warm enough, GOLF. He currently lives in Lakeview with his wife and their two dogs, Cooper and Louie.

Donnie Bernacchi
Sr. Mortgage Banker, Sales Manager of Neighborhood Loans

Donnie Bernacchi is the Sales Manager of Neighborhood Loans’ Bucktown office. He has over a decade of experience originating Real Estate transactions. While his track record speaks volumes, Donnie is eager to continue his trajectory of becoming the most respected and knowledgeable Mortgage Banker in Chicago. He thoroughly enjoys working with first-time homebuyers and consulting them regarding the many benefits of homeownership. Donnie is well versed in numerous loan programs available.  His commitment to ensure the best interests of his clients and those who seek his unbiased consultation is his top priority. The relationships he has developed with his clients and referral partners throughout his career show that having a foundation of trustworthiness, honesty and dedication will result in a loyal and growing client base.

Kim Kappelman
CPA | Co-founder, Lead designer at Tri Homes Today & Licensed Realtor @properties

Prior to joining @properties and becoming a Real Estate Agent, as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Kimberly worked for a Real Estate Investment Trust where she performed extensive property valuation and market analysis. Kimberly assessed the company’s portfolio of properties, which included over 300 properties totaling over $5.9 Billion in assets. Her background in business, property valuation, market analysis, and attention to detail help her create and implement strong marketing plans, determine appropriate pricing structures, and ultimately help her clients sell their homes for the highest value.

In early 2013 Kimberly and husband/business partner Mark started their own Real Estate Development Company where they buy, renovate or build, and sell properties. As an investor, Kimberly has become an expert in analyzing properties in the Chicago area from both the buy and sell sides of a transaction. She not only seeks to find the best home for her clients, but also looks for a property that will be a good investment and will generate future value. Kimberly has also become very experienced in the design aspect of properties, including the newest trends in finishes and floorplans, and what updates add the most value to a property. This can be extremely important in attaining the highest sale price when selling a home as well as in building equity in a new home purchase.
